Agatha

On 3rd December, 1926 Agatha Christie disappeared from her London home, sparking a country-wide manhunt which only finished when she turned up at The Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate on the 14th.

Harrogate Film Society & Harrogate Civic Society invite you to join us as we commemorate 100 years of England's greatest literary mystery to celebrate the legacy of Agatha Christie's infamous real-life disappearance, and her hiding place, right here, in Harrogate in December 1926. Your ticket price includes a glass of wine or soft drink, as well as the film!

The showing of the 1979 film "Agatha" starring Dustin Hoffman and Vanessa Redgrave and much of it shot in Harrogate will be on Wednesday 25 November 2026 at the Harrogate Odeon (Running time 105 minutes). There will be two screenings - 2.30pm or 7pm. Screen 3 has limited capacity so early booking is advised.
