Harrogate Advertiser - Malcolm Neesam Articles:

From 1997 until 2015 the late Malcolm Neesam (1946 – 2022) contributed a weekly column to the Harrogate Advertiser. Originally called “Bygone Harrogate” and later “Harrogate Heritage”, most of the topics dealt with the history and heritage of our town. In 1999 the Advertiser published a reprint in book form.

Simon Kent (who worked closely with Malcolm in his later years) has re-created the original texts of subsequent “Harrogate Heritage” articles from the microfilm archive held in Harrogate Library. The Advertiser are reprinting selected articles monthly and, as published, they will also be archived here pending their conversion into another book at some later date.
