The Heritage Plaques of Harrogate

Harrogate has 90 Heritage plaques erected in the town, mainly in the town centre, but also further afield. The plaques tell a lot of the history of Harrogate.

These plaques are usually Brown in colour and oblong in shape.

There are also 9 other plaques of historical importance.

This is a large subject in its own right and so the Harrogate Civic Society has a website dedicated to these plaques.

The plaques website contains information on all the plaques.  Photos and descriptions of their locations along with maps and walking trails that allow you to explore this great asset to the town. There is also an Android app to guide you around the trails. Search "Harrogate plaques" on the Google Play Store or visit the plaques website for a link.
