Society Events

The society provides a varied and interesting set of events each year.  These include visits to local and further afield places of historic interest as well as contemporary places such as the British Library or The Allerton Waste Recovery Park.  Additionally talks and lectures are held locally on subjects of Civic interest ranging from buildings to artists.

 

Talks will usually be at a town centre location.  Other events may be held at locations directly related to the event.

Social meetings are also held, like the annual pre-Christmas social.

Members are welcome and encouraged to attend Society events, which are free to members (unless a venue charge).

Events are also open to non-members who are welcome to come and join in.  A donation of £5 for attending, after a first free event, is requested.
