Christ Church, High Harrogate

Christ Church, High Harrogate
Christ Church, Church Square, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG1 4SW

An organ recital and talk at Harrogate's oldest church.

Christ Church is the town's oldest permanent church, dating from 1831 with galleries and an east end added in a more elaborate style in the 1860s. The church is today home to a thriving congregation and, along with the attached Parish Centre that was added in 1988, is an important focus of community activities. An organ recital and talk will be given by local organist Adrian Selway on 14 September, and the church will also be open on three mornings during the Heritage Open Days festival.
