A 1.5 mile walk to the site and remains of the 18th century Bilton Park Colliery on the banks of the River Nidd.

This is a guided walk to the site and remains of the 18th century Bilton Park Colliery on the banks of the River Nidd in the Nidd Gorge, together with an explanation of the remains and the story of the colliery.

Access
This is an outdoor walk along public footpaths in the woods along the River Nidd. There are gentle slopes but some also are steep in places and there are some steps. The paths can be rough underfoot and although there are wooden boards to avoid the worst of the mud these can be slippery when wet. Appropriate footwear and clothing are recommended.
