A Walk on the Duchy Estate
Valley Gardens, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG1 2RY

This walk explores the Duchy estate in Harrogate, a beautiful development of the late Victorian and Edwardian years.

The walk will look at some of the lovely houses built on the estate and three important public buildings: the former Grand Hotel, Harrogate Ladies College and St Wilfrid's Church. Meet at the entrance to the Valley Gardens opposite the Royal Pump Room Museum.

Access
There is wheelchair access but it should be noted that the walk does begin with a fairly steep incline up Cornwall Road before levelling off. There are public toilets in the Valley Gardens and close by in the Crescent Gardens.

Max 12 people per tour/session. Approximately 1.5 hours The walk is ten minutes from the bus and rail stations. Disc parking is available on the streets around the Valley Gardens but is time-limited to between one and three hours. Contact for the day: Paul Jennings 01423 506509
Directions
The Valley Gardens are located in central Harrogate. The walk will begin at the entrance to the Gardens which is opposite the Pump Room Museum.
